What’s your favorite color? Personally mine is blue but lately everyone’s seems to be green. Green this green that, green cars green hats…But seriously, don’t make me go all Dr. Seuss on you. Even if you are blind you can see that the climate is changing and the planet is experiencing “GLOBAL WARMING.” That is why everyone is now on this kick to save the planet and think green. Don’t get me wrong, I think it is great and about time people started caring, but why didn’t we care before? Why were we so caught up with getting ahead that we couldn’t take the time or effort to care for our planet so that we didn’t get to where we are today? What changed?
We should have been taking care of the planet way before it started to melt all the polar ice caps. We should have been more responsible. Now it is time to learn from our mistakes and step up. As the business leaders of today we must act in not only the interest of the bottom line but in the interest of the planet. Personally, I plan on installing solar panels on my house so as to power my house efficiently and cleanly. I find that the easiest way to think green is think of what you are wasting. Do you leave electricity on when you don’t need to? Do you recycle?
Find the little wastes and change them for a better tomorrow. Yet again, as cheesy as it sounds, it is these little things that will separate us as the leaders of today and change the way we look at business and life. Go ahead, think green and globally. It could be fun
